Perimeter Security Systems

Perimeter security is really a race against time: how early do you detect someone at your boundary, how long does the fence line and gate hardware delay them, and how fast can you verify what’s happening and respond. Get those three right and most incidents end at the fence. Get them wrong and your CCTV becomes a way to watch things go missing in high definition.

AQLON designs, installs and maintains perimeter security systems across Dubai and the UAE — gates and barriers, perimeter CCTV, intrusion detection, security lighting and access-controlled entry points, integrated into one system with one accountable team behind it.

What we deliver

Perimeter intrusion detection — sensors and video analytics that flag a boundary breach the moment it starts
Perimeter CCTV with analytics — line-crossing and intrusion alerts, designed for long fence lines and yard distances
Security lighting and deterrence — because most intruders choose the darkest, quietest point on the boundary
Integrated alerts and response — events verified with camera footage, routed to your team or guards in real time

Part of our wider security systems scope — designed, installed and maintained by one team.

Deter, Detect, Delay, Verify, Respond

Good perimeter security is layered — five jobs, in order, each buying time for the next:

Deter. Visible cameras, security lighting and proper fencing turn opportunists away before anything starts. Most incidents are prevented by looking like the harder target on the street.

Detect. Sensors and camera analytics on the fence line flag a breach at the boundary — not at the warehouse door, when it’s already too late.

Delay. Physical measures — fencing, gates, barriers, bollards — slow an intruder down so detection actually matters.

Verify. Every alert pairs with camera footage, so your team responds to real events instead of chasing false alarms from cats and wind-blown debris.

Respond. Verified events route to the right people — on-site guards, your phone, or a monitoring arrangement — with the footage attached.

Most failed perimeter systems do one of these five jobs well and ignore the rest. The survey is where we work out which layers your site actually needs.

What We Design and Install

Gates, barriers and bollards. Vehicle control is half of perimeter security in the UAE — gate barrier systems for staff and visitor entry, integrated with the same credentials as your doors.

ANPR at vehicle entrances. Number-plate recognition opens the barrier for registered vehicles and logs every movement — our guide to how ANPR works covers the basics.

Perimeter CCTV. Long fence lines and yards are a distance problem: remote cameras often need fibre or extenders, which is why our CCTV installation and cabling are designed together rather than bolted on.

Intrusion detection. Fence-line sensors and video analytics matched to the site — a compound wall, a logistics yard and an industrial plant each fail differently, and the detection layer should reflect that.

Access-controlled entry points. Pedestrian gates and turnstiles running on the same access control platform as the building, with video intercom where reception needs to see before releasing.

Security lighting. Designed with the cameras — lighting that helps analytics work at night instead of blinding them.

Sites We Secure

Warehouses, yards and logistics sites. Mussafah, JAFZA, DIP, Al Quoz and the industrial areas — perimeter, yard, gates and docks treated as one coverage problem, usually alongside internal CCTV.

Compounds and residential communities. Boundary coverage, visitor-controlled gates and discreet cameras that respect residents’ privacy.

Industrial plants and utilities. Long boundaries, harsh environments and equipment worth stealing — detection and delay matter more here than anywhere.

Schools, hotels and campuses. Perimeters that control access without feeling like a checkpoint, coordinated with reception and visitor management. See our 40+ camera heavy-equipment yard project in Jebel Ali.

Compliance for Regulated Premises

For many business premises in the UAE, security systems — perimeter CCTV and access control among them — fall under the local regulator’s requirements: SIRA in Dubai and the MCC (ADMCC) in Abu Dhabi. Coverage of entrances, yards and vehicle access is often specified, not optional.

We establish your premises classification at the survey and design the perimeter scope to comply — see our SIRA and ADMCC pages for the full picture in each emirate.

What Does Perimeter Security Cost?

The honest answer depends on five things:

1. Boundary length and layout — a 200-metre compound wall and a two-kilometre industrial fence line are different projects.

2. Detection technology — camera analytics, fence sensors or both; the right mix follows the site, not the brochure.

3. Vehicle control — the number of gates, barriers and lanes, and whether ANPR is wanted.

4. Cabling and civil works — long runs, underground routes and gate power are usually the biggest labour item on large sites.

5. Integration and response — linking to existing CCTV and access control, and how alerts should reach your team.

The survey is free and the quotation is fixed and itemised. The number you see is the number you pay.

How We Work

01 · Site survey — free. We walk the boundary: entry points, blind spots, lighting, distances, existing fencing and cabling routes.

02 · Design and fixed quote. Layered design — deter, detect, delay, verify, respond — with a device schedule and an itemised quotation.

03 · Installation. Cabling, civils, gates, cameras and sensors, phased so the site is never left unprotected.

04 · Commissioning. Every camera, sensor, barrier and alert tested end to end — including at night, when the system actually earns its keep.

05 · Maintenance. Outdoor equipment lives a hard life in UAE conditions; an AMC keeps cameras clean, barriers serviced and detection trustworthy.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do perimeter security systems cost in Dubai?

It depends on boundary length, detection technology, the number of gates and barriers, cabling and civil works, and integration scope — which is why we quote after a free survey. The quotation is fixed and itemised.

Can perimeter security integrate with our existing CCTV and access control?

Yes — and it should. Perimeter alerts verified with camera footage, and gates running on the same credentials as your doors, are the difference between a system and a collection of devices. Integration is easiest when one company designs the whole scope.

Does ANPR work for staff and visitor vehicles?

Yes — registered vehicles open the barrier automatically and every movement is logged; visitors can be pre-registered or handled by intercom. It removes the queue at the gate without removing the control.

Is perimeter security regulated in the UAE?

For many business premises, yes — perimeter CCTV and access control fall under SIRA requirements in Dubai and MCC (ADMCC) requirements in Abu Dhabi, which often specify coverage of entrances, yards and vehicle access. We design to the applicable regime from the survey onwards.

How do you reduce false alarms?

By verifying: alerts pair with camera footage, detection zones are tuned to the site, and lighting is designed so analytics work at night. A perimeter system that cries wolf gets switched off — tuning is part of commissioning, not an extra.

Do you maintain perimeter systems?

Yes — AMCs covering cameras, sensors, barriers and gate hardware. Outdoor equipment in UAE heat and dust needs scheduled attention to stay reliable, and maintained systems keep their alerts trustworthy.
